Italian Heritage

The Sicilian Pastry Shop opened its doors in 1979 and for the past four decades, has brought a taste of Italy to Scotland's capital.  From traditional Sicilian cannoli's to rum baba's to the classic arancini, the award-winning bakery specialises in Italian celebration cakes, pastries and savouries.

Family Business

Owner Francesco Asiatico, a trained chef from the small town of Sapri in the south of Italy, moved to Scotland in 1979.  Franco took over the pastry shop in 1995.  As a family with a passion for delicious food, Franco's son Umberto came on board and that have since worked side by side for over 10 years with Umberto going on the take the reigns as head chef.  All the team at the Sicilian have a passion for cake.
